Canada Water

At Metro Village, we take our customer’s needs very seriously. That’s why, as estate agents, we are committed to achieving your goals and finding the very best properties in Canada Water area. With hard work and transparent communication, we are proud of the services we offer at home and overseas. Whether you’re looking to rent, buy or sell a property, there is no one else you should turn to but us. Let us be frank – our services are second to none.

In the 80s, Canada Water opted for, what was at the time, an innovative and unique approach. Low-rise housing, an out-of-town shopping centre and a leisure park were all big draws. Now, they feel a little outdated as these aren’t what property owners want from their home. So, why choose Canada Water? It’s down to the exciting announcement by British Land back in 2016. They announced they are behind the ‘Canada Water Masterplan,’ a plan for the area which will see further growth and redevelopment along with a number of new jobs created. The exciting 20-year plan will see an all High Street, more public and community spaces, more retail and bars and cafes. Along with the sought after Maple Quays development in 2011, estate agents and buyers and sellers alike all agree – Canada Water is on the map.

The Lifestyle

Regeneration may be the aim of the game for the future, but Canada Water still retains some of its rugged history. Located down by the docks, the noise of the boats entering and exiting the quay of water sends people back in time to a simpler era. This region is also a fantastic place for an impromptu walk on a hot summer’s day or a cold winter’s morning. Don’t worry; the sights and sounds of the workers will keep you warm.

Further down the road, local, famous names only add to the atmosphere of the area. The likes of Greenland Dock, Quebec Way, Finland Street and Norway Gate were once at the centre of the timber trade, and the remnants of the industry are still visible. With so many open spaces, animal lovers will be spoilt for choice when they take their pooch out for exercise. What could be more important than a place with an atmosphere which is dog and exercise-friendly?

Getting Around

Canada Water is undoubtedly an incredibly well-linked area of London. As estate agents, we understand the need to be able to hop on an Overground train or the Underground. Here, the city centre is only four miles away and it takes less than ten minutes to connect to Canary Wharf on the Jubilee Line. Shoreditch High Street is only five stops away, while London Bridge City is three stops.

For Families

The fantastic restaurants and bars – we recommend The Pear Tree in Greenland Place – mean you’ll never be short of places to eat. Along with shopping centres and a 24-hour Tesco, there’s not much you can’t find in Canada Water.

Probably the most exciting prospect is the King's College campus. With a 20% increase in students due, your children might have access to a world-class education on their doorstep. To discover properties in the area, contact Metro Village estate agents now.
