Here comes the sales pitch…

Metro Village Limited is an award winning leading London independent Estate Agent, try saying that sentence after a few drinks! As an industry regulated team we pride ourselves on our professional approach and friendly manner and we even have a certificate wall showing off our winning and regulated talents!

We give sound, practical and honest advice on the property market, local trends and where the best places are to invest. Ching says “I, myself am an investor, so I understand the importance of knowing areas which are up-and-coming and areas which you will benefit the most from an investment property. I make sure the team are looking at London wide postcodes and can give accurate and insightful information. I also rent some of my properties through Metro Village so if you rent with us, I could end up as your landlord, and I am a good landlord, I promise!”

At Metro Village, we work closely with a number of developers across London giving us a unique advantage and access to new and future properties in a competitive market. This also allows us to offer properties for sale prior to completion, we love nothing better than taking clients on a site tour, our sales team look particularly lovely in a hard hat and high-vis jacket!

How we work

We believe transparency is a key element to our success; being open and honest is essential to our business growth. Whether you are a landlord or tenant, investor or seller we believe in making sure we are upfront from the start about what we can offer you, the reality of the property market in its recent form and the costs involved. We manage your expectations by giving you a realistic service, from accurate valuations and appraisals to complete honesty on the local market and what you can expect from the current conditions.

Our staff are local area experts meaning we can correctly advise you. We live and breathe the local areas (which means we have tried and tested every bar and restaurant) in which we operate giving us an advantage over our competitors.

Why is Metro Village the right Estate Agent for you?

Because we pride ourselves on knowledge and passion and it’s all about you! We are driven to succeed by you, we want to do better for you, we want the best for you. Have we said enough to make you believe us?

We know the local property market better than most and we make sure we are up to date with new projects, new developments and new plans for our local area, we endlessly read news articles, attend conferences and  meetings so you don’t have to!

Metro Village has strong links with south-east Asia. Whilst the cost of property in the UK is high, in Hong Kong and Singapore the prices remain higher. The warm welcome they get in the UK (us Brits are such lovely people) coupled with the property market offering a good return on their investment has seen pockets of London benefit from these overseas investors. Ching speaks fluent Cantonese. This has paved the way for development within the company which offers a specialist service for Chinese cash purchasers. The ties with the Asian market have given the Metro Village team good insight into current trends in the UK and overseas.

What we stand for?

We pride ourselves on being professional but fun. We offer a service which we can be proud of. The team is incredibly hardworking and passionate about the property industry. We maintain a solid understanding of new legislation and current property affairs; this allows us to discuss property matters with knowledge and preciseness. The team can talk for hours on the market- trust us!

Metro Village are also dedicated to local community and charity work and we are incredibly active in fundraising locally. Raising funds for local projects/schools is at the heart of what Metro Village stands for and we love nothing more than organising a charity event. We are constantly striving to make our local community better and Metro Village are currently involved in several community projects. Each Thursday if you stop by you will meet Mustak who is with us on work experience from Ian Mikardo School. The work placement allows Mustak to get a look at an office environment whilst learning the ‘ins and outs’ of an estate agents. The school is not a mainstream school and teenagers who attend have strong difficulties academically or have a very troublesome home life with no real role model, we want to be that role model. At Metro Village we believe everything we do is to create a better and more welcoming London for everyone to enjoy.

Why use Metro Village?

Metro Village is the Estate Agent who will go that extra mile for you, collectively as a team and individually. Working hard is our motto and thinking outside the box is a core part of our brand. We will offer you the best service, the most current and up to date advice and we will be honest about your property and your expectations. We will market your property correctly, we use professional photography for sales properties (and often lettings), we use Rightmove and Zoopla and local press. We also use our social media and our magnificent window display to showcase your property.

There is only one thing left to do - stop by our office and meet the team. The office, you can see has been designed to have a ‘lounge’ feel which will make you feel right at home- literally, although we do ask you to keep your shoes on!

Meet the Team

Ching Tang
Managing Director

Having worked in the local area for over a decade and being a resident myself I have a great knowledge of the local market. I am also a home owner and investor so I understand what it takes and what support and help you may need in the process.  I have a true understanding of the market and the best areas to invest. I am a very hardworking, strong willed independent female working in a very male dominated industry and to achieve the successes I have with Metro Village is something I am very proud of. I pride my company on being different to other agents, we work tirelessly on our customer service and giving back to the local community through donations, time and effort and organising local events. Metro Village are always involved in a fundraising event or community project at any given time.

And for fun, I am a bit of a petrol head, I do love a car. I took the team on the Modball Rally last year which sees you drive through Europe. It was so much fun! I enjoy spending time with my little boy and my partner outside of work.

Nikki Hamersley
Area and Business Development Director

I worked as a property account manager for a local media prior to coming to Metro Village so I have built up many strong local relationships which basically means I know all the local estate agents very well, so it speaks volumes for Metro Village that I decided after 11 years that they would be the agent I joined. I am originally an east Londoner which people can tell as soon as I start speaking and my love of pie and mash! I am incredibly hardworking and I always give 110% to my job. I love being busy, thrive on it. My working background means that customer service is so important to me, happy customers means you have done your job right!

And when I’m not at work, I love all things Vegas and I am a little obsessed with the mafia (well they did create Vegas) I am a total rock chick, so much so my son is named after Slash the guitarist from Guns n Roses. I am a big fan of shoes and until I had to make room for my son I owned over 200 pairs.

Terence Crowder
Lettings Manager

Growing up in the local area and still being a local resident I am extremely passionate about where I live and work, a champion for living here if you must. Being up to date with the current local goings on is something I pride myself on, ask me anything about different property types, developments, transport links and schools in Canada Water and the surrounding areas, there shouldn’t be anything I can’t answer. This knowledge allows me to speak with depth and a precise understanding about the most important elements of the local area.

Having previously worked in sales in London I have a wealth of experience across the board when it comes to estate agency, but lettings is where my true passion lies. I have looked after the property needs of you good people of London my entire career.

When I am outside of the office I love to travel. I love learning about new cultures and exploring new places. I especially love the Far East. I am also a huge fan of Disney, and yes I have several Disney tattoos on my legs, if you ask I might just show you my pins!

David Smith
Lettings Negotiator

Working the other side of the industry (I was a builder for many years) gave me a snapshot insight into the property market. As I didn’t become an Estate Agent until 6 years ago I am a little older than most lettings negotiators, but don’t let that fool you, I have more drive to succeed than anyone I have ever met. After working as a negotiator for 6 months I quickly passed my ARLA qualifications, a huge achievement. This essentially fast tracked my career to Branch Manager. It was in this position that I realised I missed the day to day customer interaction, I missed the satisfaction of finding someone their dream home and I missed everything about being a lettings negotiator, so I decided to return to the position of a property consultant and I haven’t looked back since! I can genuinely say I love property. For fun after work my time is taken up by two things, my beautiful daughter and paintballing. So when I am not having fun with my little lady I am donning safety goggles and my second baby- my paintball gun, it’s a great way to keep active and lot’s of fun!

Tanver Ajmal
Sales Negotiator

I am incredibly hardworking and insightful, and since being at Metro Village I have learnt a lot about the property market, trends and up and coming areas. I like to understand the property purchasers needs, why are they buying? What are the most important needs and how can I help fulfil them? One element I find which is key to my role is to listen, I need to listen to my clients’ needs and from there I need to evaluate what I can offer them to match those needs. My style is very methodical, I don’t like the pushy sales approach, I like to build relationships with both my vendors and buyers, a property is the largest purchase a person is likely to make, I want it to be the right one.

At Metro Village I am encouraged to think for myself and to bring ideas ‘to the table’ this has seen me grow as a person as well as an Estate Agent. I find this way of working very motivating and I have taken the sales division of Metro Village and made it my own. For someone who has only been in the industry a year this has been challenging but very rewarding.

After work I like to socialise with friends, I am a believer is socialising where I work so I can offer the best ‘tried and tested’ advice to my buyers.

Jorge Portillo
Property Manager

I am a positive, strong minded individual who likes to work in a fast paced office environment, so it’s handy I work for Metro Village as it’s very fast paced here. I am a team player; my colleagues know I am on hand to help with any task. If there is a job that needs doing I will do what I can to get it done. I am fluent in English and Spanish. Spending time with my partner and daughter is how I enjoy a day off, we love going for long walks and taking in the greenery the local area has to offer. I am also a football fan, I love playing and watching! C’mon you blues!

Cherish Ingham
Property and Facilities Co-ordinator

Having worked in the property industry for a number of years I was looking for a new and exciting challenge. Metro Village is the perfect fit for me! I pride myself on customer service and providing a second to none experience and Metro Village do just that.
Originally from Liverpool, I moved to London and I haven’t looked back (well I go back to see my Mum and Dad quite a bit) I love London and all it has to offer, I love meeting new people, seeing London’s spectacular sights and I do enjoy the occasional night out.

After work I like to keep fit, I work out regularly and enjoy being active. I enjoy spending time with friends and travelling back to Liverpool to see family. I am a huge fan of Christmas, Christmas itself is so exciting but for me it’s a double celebration as it’s actually my birthday too! And yes, before you ask, I do get double presents from my Mum and Dad.

Neill Hamersley
Accounts and Administration and in-house photographer

For me, attention to detail is important and when a property is advertised a high standard of photography is essential as it really does make a difference. It’s imperative that if you are asking people to spend money on a property and on the other side of the coin asking people to give you their property to rent out or sell that estate agents offer a professional photography service. Metro Village now use an in house professional (me) and we aim to make sure your property, if marketed by us is done correctly.

When I’m not taking property pictures for Metro Village I also own a photography company, and when I am not working with a camera I love nothing more than spending time with my son. I am also a fan of American sports, particularly the NFL and Baseball and I will watch whenever I can- the time difference can sometimes make it difficult.
